Congratulations!
My congratulations to the entire Concert Orchestra for a wonderful performance on
Mother's Day. The horn and woodwind solos in the Borodin were exquisite and the
Dvorak rocked! I believe it was the first time in my 12 years at NYS that I had a brass
section made up entirely of NYS student musicians. And you all played beautifully!
Strings and woodwinds and our sole percussionist all played with accuracy and spirit.
My thanks for a wonderful season. The growth that you all displayed over the course of
the year was really remarkable. Enjoy your summer!
