Jun 25, 2022: OVERNIGHT FLIGHT Departure from the United States.
Jun 26, 2022: MONTECATINI Benvenuti in Italia! Arrive in Florence and meet your Tour Manager at the airport. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and enjoy dinner together this evening. (D)
Jun 27, 2022: MONTECATINI After breakfast, provided at your hotel every morning of the tour, you will depart for the beautiful medieval walled town of Lucca. Enjoy free time for independent sightseeing and lunch. Transfer back to Montecatini and set up for rehearsal at the Terme Terrucio, before performing your concert for the locals this evening (pending approval). Return to Florence for the overnight. (B,D)
Jun 28, 2022: MONTECATINI After breakfast, drive to Florence where you will meet a local guide for a walking tour which shows you Santa Croce, the Duomo, and Ghiberti's famous baptistry doors. You will also visit the Academia to see Michelangelo's "David". Spend some free time exploring Florence and immersing yourself in the local culture, perhaps with a stroll across the Ponte Vecchio or a taste of gelato at Vivoli's. Enjoy dinner together as a group. Jun 29, 2022: ROME This morning, check out of your hotel and visit the beautiful Tuscan town of San Gimignano and Siena. Arrive in Orvieto, where you will rehearse and perform your next concert at the historic Teatro Mancinelli. Continue to Rome where you will check-in to your hotel. (B,D).
Jun 30, 2022: ROME Sightseeing with a local guide includes a panoramic drive of the Eternal City's highlights, including the Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, and Monument of Vittorio Emanuele (Rome's "Wedding Cake". This afternoon/evening will be your final performance of the tour as an exchange with a local conservatory. (B,D)
July 1, 2022: ROME Meet a local guide this morning for a visit to St. Peter's and the Vatican Museums including the Sistine Chapel with whispers headsets. Then, enjoy some free time for lunch on your own. After dinner, head to the Pantheon area for a stroll. (B,D)
July 2, 2022: ROME This morning, you'll visit the Colosseum and Forum to learn more about the heart of the Roman Empire. Enjoy free time this afternoon to explore Rome in small groups. Then, enjoy a final dinner together to celebrate your successful tour! (B,D)
July 3, 2022: DEPARTURE Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States.

Performance Tour is open to students in the Concert and Principal Orchestras.

3 Concerts will be performed.

Price for the 9-day tour for participants and chaperones is $4,319 - basic insurance coverage included. Check registration booklet for prices of additional insurance programs.

Land Only Price is $TBD. If you select this option it is your responsibility to catch up with the tour in Montecatini.

Double Occupancy rooms with option to pay additional $665 for a single.

Alternative Flight returns - deadline to select is TBD. You will work with Encore directly if you choose to extend your stay. Additional fee may apply.

Parents who volunteer to chaperone will be notified if you are selected once we process all the applications.

Fundraising available - including a raffle for a trip for two to Paris. Each ticket sells for $25 each. $20 to offset the student's trip and $5 toward group expenses.
